Eagleby Wetlands, Qld

The area is located in the suburb of Eagleby bordering the Albert and Logan Rivers and is located mid-way between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, adjacent to the Pacific Motorway.  The site is immediately west of Moreton Bay; a Ramsar-listed Wetland of International Importance.

The Eagleby wetlands have recorded some 195 bird species, including 17 of the 24 Australian raptors.

The tidal flats exposed at low tide provide a variety of habitats, in particular for migratory bird species.

The area has been identified as being a significant habitat for wildlife, particularly frogs and birds, and the flora has been identified as being regionally significant in Gold Coast City Council's Nature Conservation Strategy.
