Cattai Wetland, NSW

These estuarine wetlands are situated in the Lower Manning Catchment, 35km north east of Taree and contain SEPP 14 wetlands. They are hydrologically and biologically connected to the nationally listed Crowdy Bay National Park wetlands and are surrounded by farmland.

The project is aimed at wetland protection and rehabilitation, Acid Sulphate soil remediation and floodplain management of the Cattai Creek/Coopernook Creek area.

A proposed Interpretive Field Studies centre is a major aim of the project along with regular engagement of the community in on ground works.
